The Apex range is a true representation of our commitment to regional excellence, capturing the essence of the Adelaide Hills in every bottle. Crafted with minimal intervention, each wine in the Apex series highlights the unique characteristics of its single clone, single site, and single vintage, delivering a pure expression of varietal identity and site-specific nuances.
Winemaker James Evers describes the 2022 Apex series as embodying elegant varietal expressions with remarkable persistence on the palate. "The wines reveal the full potential of our cool climate region," says Evers. "The consistently mild weather during the 2022 growing season, combined with sunny days and cool temperatures, allowed the fruit to ripen evenly, resulting in exceptional fruit depth and natural acidity."
2022 Nepenthe Apex Chardonnay:
This Chardonnay offers intense flavours of nectarine, soft white peach, sweet spice, and hints of roasted nuts. The wine's textural mouthfeel finishes with a long, zesty citrus note.
